economic development across Detroit. About the OpportunityWe are
seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facility Engineer to
join our team. The Facility Engineer will be responsible for the
overall maintenance and upkeep of commercial buildings. This
position requires a thorough understanding of safety practices,
building systems, and general maintenance procedures. The Facility
Engineer must have strong problem-solving and communication skills
and be able to work independently and as part of a team.The Impact
You Will Make:Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on all
building systems and equipment, including heating, ventilation, and
air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electricalRespond to
emergency maintenance requests and assess the building for
potential hazardsPerform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as
neededMonitor building equipment to ensure proper
functioningPrepare reports and documents related to facility
maintenance and repairsEnsure that the building meets all safety
and health regulationsCoordinate with outside vendors and
contractors for maintenance and repair servicesAssist in managing
building maintenance budgetEnsure all systems and equipment are
code compliantMaintain fire suppression systemEnsure integrity of
the roofWhat You Will Bring to the Table:High School diploma or
equivalent, technical trade school certificate preferredBachelor's
degree in Engineering or 3-5 years of experience in facility
maintenance and repair on boilers and HVAC equipmentSeeks to
acquire Boiler and Refrigeration operators' licenses
preferredKnowledge of how to use WebCTRL and remain up to date with
the technologyStrong working knowledge of applicable safety
regulations and proceduresAbility to troubleshoot and repair a
variety of building systemsAbility to lift heavy objects and
perform physical laborExcellent communication and organizational
skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility
to commute to other locationsSalary:The budgeted salary range for
this position starts at $80,000 and may be adjusted according to
