Job Description:

DCS develops Army Robotics Common Software (ARCS), which is the Ground Vehicle Systems Center's (GVSC) library of modular software packages that can be used for common ground autonomy software. The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located in Warren, Michigan, is the United States Armed Forces' research and development facility for advanced technology in ground systems. GVSC is dedicated to getting robotics capability into the hands of Soldiers.Essential Job Functions:

• Drive and lead architecture changes for autonomous ground vehicle autonomy software (ARCS).
• Follow and improve ARCS architecture guidelines rooted in the Army's Modular Open Systems Architecture (MOSA) approach.
• Collaborate with the development team to review and design architectural changes.
• Follow MBSE implementation standards for architecture.Required Skills:
• Due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Must obtain Secret clearance.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, related engineering, or applied science field.
• At least 5 years of experience implementing software using proper design guidelines.
• Show proficiency either in C++ and/or ROS.
• Willing to implement architecture changes using SysML.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle controls, sensors, autonomous systems, and functional safety.Desired Skills:
• Experience in Robotics and autonomous systems.
• Experience with understanding behavior, planning, and motion control of a robotic system.
• Experience working in ROS.
• Experience with MBSE and model-based development using SysML and UML tools.
