Wage of $44.00/hr (including all incentives)
Are you a registered nurse who is passionate about teaching others?
The Staff Development Coordinator/Infection Control nurse acts as
the educator for the facility and other in-service educational
programs for the nursing staff. In addition, this nurse is
responsible for designing systems and approving actions to prevent
or control infections, based on surveillance reports of infections
and infection potential among residents and staff.

Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities of the Staff Development Coordinator/
Infection Control Nurse include:
Designs, plans and provides educational programs on all shifts and
for all departments.
Participates in the staff evaluation process by providing
attendance records and observation of employee performance.
Provides general facility orientation to all new employees and
ongoing in-service education.
Plans and provides a monthly and annual schedule of planned
education programs.
Ensures Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) meet the annual 12-hour
in-service requirement.
Actively participates in quality assurance and reports concerns to
supervisor.
Design systems and approve actions to prevent or control
infections.
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in long-term care setting preferred
Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state
CMS Certification required
CPR certification
