Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: General, Dialysis, Mental Health Job Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Night - 4x10 - 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM, Days off are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Experience: Not specified License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: Relevant certifications required Must-Have: Willingness to work in a setting that requires frequent stair climbing; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Strong organizational and communication skills Job Description: - Perform rounds and evaluate patient care needs. - Develop and implement care plans and educate patients on health care principles. - Administer medications, including narcotics. - Provide direct nursing care as needed and perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, and dialysis. - Organize and oversee the emergency response team. - Direct health care staff assigned to the area and act as lead worker during shift absences. - Assist physicians in conducting diagnostic health evaluations. - Perform clerical tasks including charting, documenting medical information, and completing reports. - Order and maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring accuracy of controlled drugs and medication records. - Arrange for patient clinic appointments and medical examinations. - Facilitate new and refill prescriptions as ordered by physicians. - Serve as a liaison within the organization and conduct or attend meetings. - Provide instruction and guidance to healthcare staff and participate in problem-solving teams.
