Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Med Surg Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years required; recent traveler experience highly preferred License: Michigan State License Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Med/Surg Observation experience Job Description: - Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications. - Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs. - Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, interpreting and recording measurements. - Monitor patients' vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner. - Float between two hospitals within a 32-mile distance, if required, for critical staffing support. - Work every other weekend and holiday as needed. - Provide care to a variety of patients including Oncology, Observation, Hospice, and Medical Surgical patients. Profile Requirements: - Complete a skills checklist, current to one year, pertinent to the specialty. - Provide two supervisory reference forms taken within the last two years. - Submit permanent address for consideration, with a 50-mile radius restriction applicable for local candidates on a short-term contract.
