Job Description:

Plan, organize, develop and direct Environmental Services to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable community.
Responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Coordinate environmental services tasks community wide.
  
• Direct and/or perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc.
  
• Direct and/or perform routine maintenance and repair on the community and equipment.
  
• Direct and/or perform replacement of burned out light bulbs and perform cleaning duties.
  
• Direct and/or perform service for heating and cooling units/systems.
  
• Supervise safety and fire prevention programs.
  
• Insure that all building systems are in working order.
  
• Schedule work hours for staff, assign work duties and cleaning schedules.
  
• Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as necessary.
  
• Maintain a productive working relationship with other department supervisors.
  
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth and positive emphasis throughout the community.
  
  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
    
  • Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity, in a maintenance/plant related position.
    
  • Training in environmental control practices and procedures is preferred.
    
  • Knowledge of boilers, compressors, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
    
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
    
  • Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
    
  • Knowledge of environmental practices and procedures.
