are currently looking for a sharp, driven, and dynamic Senior
Contracts Administrator to support and contribute to the success of
a portfolio of contracts centered on developing tomorrow's
solutions. This position will support the full range of contracting
activities, from pre-proposal through contract closeout. These
contracts are essential to the United States military, industry
collaborators, and the future of BAE Systems. You will work with

Administrator, you will:
Support, and in some cases lead, the
proposal, negotiation, and management of complex proposal and
contract activities in accordance with company policies, legal and
customer requirements, with guidance or supervision from the
Director.Interpret and communicate business commitments and
alternatives to program team and management during contract
execution. Serve as a business advisor not bound solely by your
functional role on the team.Develop and maintain professional and
dependable relationships with both internal and external
customers.Gain, maintain, and continue to develop an in-depth
knowledge and working understanding of the US Government
Acquisition and Procurement environment, the BAE Systems Contracts
function, and relevant company policies and procedures, terms &
conditions, FAR/DFARS, export, and other government
regulations.Support proposal activities including, but not limited
to, analysis of solicitations/RFPs, preparing summaries and
developing strategies and recommendations based on the analysis.Be
mindful and attentive to the financial and business risks of the
proposed effort and engage in all proposal team meetings.Prepare
the terms, conditions, and assumptions upon which the proposal may
be submitted, review the technical and pricing proposals for
accuracy and consistency, conduct overall business risk analysis,
and prepare the proposal documents for submittal to the
customer.Provide analysis of solicitations, ensure that
bid/proposals are prepared and presented in a manner to afford the
company the greatest opportunity to obtain the contract award while
minimizing associated liabilities and risk.Establish, manage, and
execute negotiation strategies.Perform business risk assessment and
recommend mitigation plans.Conduct negotiation of contracts or
contract modifications.Execute proposals and contracts in
accordance with delegated authority.Provide input for
budgets.Perform all aspects of assigned contract administration and
execution management including, but not limited to, accuracy of
order entry data, contract funding, scope changes, contract
modifications, non-conformances, receipts and delivery schedules,
legal requirements, ancillary documents, and other
commitments.Compile, organize, and maintain all required
contractual records and documents in accordance with contract
requirements and company policies and procedures.This is a Hybrid
position where you will be in the office 3 days per week.This
position is on a 9/80 schedule, where you will have every other
Friday off.Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of
relevant Contract administration experience or equivalent
experience.Knowledge of DoD contracting, including research and
development, OTAs, support services, as well as contract types
(e.g., FFP, CPFF) and the appropriate application of each.Knowledge
of FAR/DFARSCommunicate clearly, effectively, and proactively, both
orally (in-person and virtually) and in writing.Exhibit sound
interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and
negotiating with company personnel and customers at all
levels;Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and
documents (Microsoft Office suite and Adobe)Demonstrate research,
analysis, and presentation skills to senior leadership.Excellent
organizational and follow through skills.Detail oriented.Preferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
- 5 or more years of related
experience
- JD and/or MBA degree.
- Understanding of FAR/DFARS
- Experience representing a subcontractor.
- Make decisions using sound judgement while complying with
policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state
and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to influence and advise senior corporate management
based on sound research and analysis.
- Working knowledge of project-based financial measures: Sales,
Cash Flow, Profit, Estimate To Complete, etc.Pay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $78760 - $133870Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
